Ralph Galati served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1978. He was a Laser Guided Bomb Lead and Forward Air Controller with the 25th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing, at Ubon Royal Thai AFB, Thailand, from November 1971 until he was forced to eject over North Vietnam and was taken as a Prisoner of War on February 16, 1972. After spending 406 days in captivity, he was released during Operation Homecoming on March 28, 1973. Ralph served as the Veterans Liaison with the Delaware County Department in Veterans Affairs, and then joined Saint Joseph’s University in 2011 where he founded the Office of Veterans Services. Ralph also serves on the DCVMA Education Committee. His military awards include the Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars w/Valor, 2 Purple Hearts, and 4 Air Medals.
